Our care - pastoral care

Spiritual care for every patient and family

Our pastoral care team is here for patients and families of all faiths and none, offering comfort, companionship, and spiritual support whenever it's needed.

What we offer

A member of the pastoral care team is always available at the Hospice. They offer one-to-one spiritual care and support, and work closely with all staff to respond to the changing needs of patients throughout their stay.

The team also supports prayer and church services within the Hospice, bereavement services for families, and the annual Light Up a Life remembrance event.

Pastoral care at St Margaret of Scotland Hospice is inclusive. Whatever your faith or background, the team is here for you, not to impose, but to listen and to be present.

Our chapel

The Hospice chapel is a quiet space for reflection, prayer, and peace, open to patients, families, and staff at any time. It features a beautiful stained glass window, and is a lovely quiet space in the Hospice. Whether you come for a moment of quiet, to pray, or simply to sit, you're always welcome.

Mass and Church of Scotland services are held in the Queen Margaret Hall.

Mass is celebrated in the Hospice at the following times, these may occasionally change. If you'd like to confirm, please contact us on 0141 952 1141. All are welcome, patients, families, staff, volunteers, and members of the community.
