Volunteers

Have you ever considered becoming a volunteer? Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, make new friends and fill spare time or long hours.  We believe everyone has something to give and everyone has a special talent. Why not join us to help out at our many outdoor events such as staffing our Christmas Bus, or participate in bag packing events, or even organise a stall at one of your local events in aid of St Margaret of Scotland Hospice?

We are also hoping to recruit volunteers for specific tasks. Could you offer help as a Can Collecting Co-ordinator? This involves maintaining the regular static collecting cans in you local and surrounding area, identifying new sites in local businesses where our collection cans might be introduced.

Are you good at talking to local groups and organisations? If so you could be a great help in raising awareness of the Hospice thus bringing in much needed funds:

Another area of work is that of Schools Co-ordinator. This involves arranging to go to local schools to give talks at assemblies or in the classroom environment to raise awareness of the Hospice and to recruit new young volunteers. Could this be you?

If you are interested in the prospect of volunteering we would love to hear from you. Please contact us at the Fundraising Office on 0141-435-7018 or email us at fundraising@smh.org.uk. You can be assured of a warm welcome!
