Our Pastoral Care Team
The Hospice has an active Pastoral Care Team helping to meet the spiritual needs of patients and staff. A member of the Pastoral Care Team is always available to offer spiritual care, support and counselling of various kinds when it may be required at different times in one`s life. As well as being available on an individual basis, the Team assists with prayer and church services, also bereavement services as well as Light Up A Life. The Team work closely together, and with all staff members, ensuring the changing needs of the patients are met.

Mission Statement and Core Value (Guide our practice)
The Mission Statement and Core Values of the Organisation are displayed around the Hospice for everyone to see. Importantly, the Mission Statement and Core Values are in practice and are evident in the way care is carried out in the Hospice and with the respect staff have for each other.
The Mission and Core Values are central to all work carried out and our work is guided by them. Staff enjoy reflective sessions whereby time is taken to reflect on everyday practice to discuss how the Core Values govern our work and how best to constantly strive to improve by using the Core Values for guidance. The staff are at an advantage as they can use the Core Values to help in decision making ensuring justice for all, including patients and each other.
