New Hospice Shop in Dumbarton

St Margaret of Scotland Hospice is back in Dumbarton - WITH STYLE

Dumbarton Opening with Jackie Baillie MSPShoppers in Dumbarton welcomed the return of the St Margaret of Scotland Hospice charity shop on 2nd of April   which was opened by Jackie Baillie MSP. 

The charity returned to the town in a smartly refurbished shop at 119 High Street. Shop Manager Anne Doran is hoping to welcome back past customers and volunteers, as well as attract new people to support the shop.

She said: “Customers will remember the exceptional quality and value of the Furniture and bric-a-brac sold in our shop. The new shop will be better than ever before, with its smart new look to match the quality of the stock we will be selling.”

The funds raised through all of St Margaret of Scotland Hospice shops – including Dumbarton – help to support the specialist work of St Margaret of Scotland Hospice . The Hospice provides specialist palliative care.

nne Doran  said It is very rewarding to know that out work here in the shops helps to make a real difference to the lives of so many people.”

Ann is now looking for volunteers to help with all aspects of the shop’s work. She added: “We are hoping some of our old friends from the previous shop will help as volunteers, but we are looking for new volunteers to help with everything from collecting and sorting donations to displaying and selling stock.

“We would love to hear from anyone interested in volunteering, whether they can spare a couple of hours once a month or a full day once a week. People can pop in anytime for an informal chat and find out more about volunteering from our staff and existing volunteers.”
